Pyrasied acrylic

Pyrasied likes to share the beauty of acrylic (PMMA) with you and the world! Acrylic, the transparent plastic often known by the brand name Plexiglas, is a particularly beautiful material. That's why we have many different variants in stock as standard. What makes 'ordinary' clear acrylic so special? Its beauty lies precisely in its clarity: it is much brighter and stronger than glass. Clear acrylic has a high light transmission of 92% and is optically pure.

This purity is reflected in the applications. Acrylic sheets are often used in the interior design sector for decorative applications. In addition, acrylic is used technically by industry, for example for machine covers or protective shields.

Properties of acrylic

Acrylic is known for its excellent properties: it is 25 times stronger than glass, UV-resistant, colourfast and has a long lifespan. With proper use, acrylic stays beautiful for years. This material is fully recyclable into new acrylic sheets, making it environmentally friendly. We also offer acrylic made from 100% recycled material, such as Green Cast and Ecocrylic. The light transmittance of transparent acrylic is 92% and the fire class is E according to EN13501-1. Datasheets and brochures are here available.
