Description
Opaque acrylic colours
Opaque acrylic colours include Polarlite, Setacryl, Setaparfum, SetaLetter and Ecocrylic. Each material has its own specifications:
- Polarite - UV-resistant, 8 to 10 times more impact-resistant than glass and easy to work with techniques such as laser cutting, thermoforming and gluing.
- Setacrylic - Cast acrylic sheet with glossy surface on both sides, made of 100% recycled and recyclable PMMA. UV-resistant and impact-resistant, up to 10 times stronger than glass.
- Setaparfum - 100% recycled and recyclable cast acrylic, specially developed for the cosmetics and pharmaceutical industries. Thanks to its crosslinked composition, this sheet is four times more resistant to chemical influences such as perfumes, creams and detergents. Also UV-resistant and 8 to 10 times stronger than glass.
- SetaLetter - Plates with satin and glossy surface. Completely opaque, they cannot be seen through and they do not let light through.
- Ecocrylic - XT acrylate made from 100% recycled pre- and post-consumer material. As colourfast and UV-resistant as non-recycled variants.
Opaque acrylic colours are suitable for a variety of applications including interior design, furniture, displays, signage, counter and bar fronts, shop fitting and decorative panels. Specific grades such as Setaparfum are ideal for the cosmetics and pharmaceutical industries, where chemical resistance is crucial.
