Opal Acrylic (Plexiglas/PMMA) by Pyrasied is a durable material, excellent for lighting and interior applications.

Pyrasied offers an extensive range of opal acrylic sheets, which are suitable for a variety of applications. For example, you can use them for LED lighting, interior design, displays and signage. In addition, these sheets are durable, environmentally friendly and easy to work with, making them ideal for both professional projects and creative applications.

Opal acrylic diffuses light evenly, for example in light panels or illuminated displays. Moreover, the material captures light, conducts it and creates a soft and even light image without visible hotspots. This creates beautiful and bright results for any project.

Types of opal acrylic at Pyrasied

Seta-LED

The Seta-LED boards are made of 100% recycled and recyclable cast acrylic. As the name suggests, this collection is specifically designed for LED lighting. This material is tailored to the wavelength of LED light and ensures optimal light distribution without hotspots or visible light points. This creates a nice, even and soft light image, even when the LED source is placed close to the surface.

Seta-LED is UV-resistant, up to ten times more impact-resistant than glass and easy to work with. Its efficient light distribution also means that fewer LEDs can be used, saving energy. A durable and aesthetic choice for illuminated displays, signage and interior elements.

Tip: always test a prototype, as the distance to the LED source and the brightness can affect the final result.

Polarite

Polarlite is a high-quality collection of cast acrylic sheets made from 100% recycled and recyclable material. These sheets have one side with a matt finish, similar to the Satinglas collection. The matt side helps hide fingerprints and attracts less dust, keeping the surface clean and tidy for longer. Polarlite's opal acrylic colours are UV-resistant, from 8 to 10 times more impact-resistant than glass and easy to process using techniques such as laser cutting, thermoforming and gluing. Ideal for durable, stylish applications in, for example, light panels, interior design and signage.

Ecocrylic opal

Ecocrylic is the first extruded acrylic made entirely of recycled XT material. It is circular, colourfast and UV-resistant, and can be recycled again and again. Ecocrylic opal has a light transmission of approximately 30%, making it suitable for applications where subtle light diffusion is desired.
