The eco-friendly plastic variant of acrylic is Green Cast A collection of cast acrylic in clear, opal and colours, made from 100% recycled pre- and post-consumer acrylic. Ecocrylic is also made from 100% recycled material.
Within designer plastics, these are the sheets from Smile Plastics, made from 100% plastic waste. For example, Smile Plastics's Kaleido plate consists of 650 - 2,500 PET bottles.
Durat is a solid surface material, the eco-friendly alternative to Corian or Hi-Macs, partly because Durat for 30% consists of recycled acrylic.
