Block acrylic is an optically pure, extra-thick and dimensionally stable moulded plastic that excels in applications where clarity, stability and appearance come together. The combination of crystal clear transparency and high mechanical strength makes this material a reliable alternative to glass in both functional and aesthetic applications. Designers and technical specialists choose this type of thick transparent acrylic because of its consistent quality and versatility.
Thick acrylic combines strong material properties with excellent processability. The material is colourless, lightweight, rigid, practically unbreakable and easy to process. Thanks to its UV stability and weather resistance, block acrylic retains its brightness and does not discolour, even in outdoor applications. With a light transmission of 92%, the material remains optimally crystal-clear.
Acrylic block is available as standard in thicknesses of 40 mm, 50 mm, 60 mm, 70 mm, 80 mm, 90 mm and 100 mm. You can also order it fully customised.
Block acrylic has been used widely, including for signing and lettering, displays, viewing glasses, awards, balustrades, stair treads, protective covers, machine parts, furniture applications, bar and counter fronts and shop displays. In many projects, the material replaces traditional glass with a safer and lighter alternative.
