GS acrylate is optically very clean, while XT acrylate has a tighter thickness tolerance. XT acrylate is therefore suitable for applications where dimensional stability is important. GS acrylate offers more choice in colours and finishes.

In practice, the optical differences between GS and XT acrylic are often small, especially for smaller sheets. For applications where the material is in a profile or a flat and dimensionally stable surface is required, extruded (XT) acrylic is usually recommended.
Do you want maximum freedom in thicknesses, colours and surface textures? Then cast (GS) acrylic is the best choice.
Acrylic is crystal clear, 25 times stronger than glass and available in many colours, thicknesses and surface textures. Acrylic has the EN13501 fire classification. Acrylic is very easy to process: sawing, milling, laser cutting, hot and cold bending, gluing, drilling, polishing, sanding and printing.

Polycarbonate is highly impact-resistant and 250 times stronger than glass. This material is less clear compared to acrylic. Polycarbonate is available in clear and in some colours. This material has a better fire rating than acrylic: Bs1d0. Polycarbonate cannot always be lasered.
Brand names: Fuerto®, Colorado®, Makrolon® and Lexan®.
PETG is food-grade certified, chemical-resistant and is the only plastic allowed in public areas such as airports. In addition, PETG is impact-resistant and has the same fire certification as polycarbonate. PETG is not UV-resistant. PETG has no thickness tolerance and is available in clear and in some colour variations. PETG can also be vacuum formed. This material cannot always be lasered.

Bespoke acrylic means that an acrylic sheet is cut or machined exactly to your desired dimensions. At Pyrasied, you can order customised acrylic sheets with no minimum order, in various thicknesses, colours and designs.
Yes, we cut acrylic sheets to exact dimensions with high precision. Depending on the type of acrylic sheet, operations such as milling, drilling, laser cutting and polishing are also possible.
