Smile Plastics stands for sustainable, recycled sheet material. This innovative brand makes high-quality plastic sheets from recycled plastic waste and this is reflected in every sheet.

No two Smile Plastics boards are the same: colours, patterns and textures vary from one production to another, giving each project a completely unique look. Perfect for those who opt for circular design and eco-friendly materials without compromising on style.

Recycled & sustainable plastic

Smile Plastics is made entirely of recycled plastic and is recyclable again after use. The sheets are rigid, weather- and moisture-resistant and therefore have a long lifespan. Furniture and interior coverings to creative design objects.

For outdoor applications, it varies by material and design, so be sure to ask about the possibilities!

In terms of fire safety, there are differences between the types:

  • PET plastic is flame-retardant and falls within fire class Bs1d0 (EN13501).
  • Polystyrene (PS) is more flammable and should not be placed near open flames.

Smile Plastics collection & delivery

As the exclusive distributor and processor of Smile Plastics in the Netherlands, Belgium and Germany, Pyrasied stocks the entire collection as standard.

Unique production process

Each Smile Plastics sheet is pressed from recycled plastic waste under high temperature. This creates a naturally varying colour and pattern image. Small irregularities or colour differences are considered 'natural features': they make each sheet unique.

Processing options

The plastic design plates of Smile Plastics are easy to sawing, milling, drilling and sanding.

  • PET and PS can be bent and glued well.
  • HDPE (like the Dapple types), on the other hand, is more difficult to glue or deform and is best screwed.

The surface can be polished or lightly sanded to remove scratches. Lasering is not possible with this material.

Care and maintenance

Smile Plastics is low-maintenance and easy to clean with warm water and a mild detergent.
