Description
PETG is a clear plastic with excellent impact resistance, rigidity and chemical resistance. The material is stronger than acrylic, but slightly less impact resistant than polycarbonate. Thanks to the extrusion process, it has virtually no thickness tolerance, making it ideal for applications in profiles and structural structures.
The sheets have high fire safety (B1 classification) and form less toxic smoke when burned than polycarbonate. As a result, PETG is approved by the fire brigade for use in airports and public areas. The material also has European Food Grade certification (SQF), making contact with food safe.
The material is easy to process and versatile: sawing, milling, drilling, gluing, polishing and printing are among the possibilities. Hot or cold bending, vacuum forming and facetting are also possible. These properties make the boards suitable for lighting, displays, interior projects and creative applications.
Available in clear and satin, in various thicknesses and some design variations, the material perfectly suits a variety of applications and aesthetic requirements.
